era vulgaris
2007 - 2013
The Era Vulgaris era (2007–2013) saw Queens of the Stone Age take a bold step into more experimental territory, blending jagged riffs, electronic textures, and off-kilter grooves into one of the band's most distinctive releases. Arriving after the success of Lullabies to Paralyze, the album embraced a darker, more abrasive aesthetic while continuing Josh Homme's drive to push the band's sound in unexpected directions. Though initially divisive, Era Vulgaris has since earned cult status and is now regarded as one of Queens of the Stone Age's most adventurous and forward-thinking albums.
